Saving cultural heritage

Two projects lay along this line:

Restoring and preparing for a further using of the historical project-house in Cumalikizik and

Burggut-project in the old town of Kulmbach

From 2004 – 2006 the Berufliches Schulzentrum Kulmbach cooperated with two other schools in the project “Burggut” (name of the residence of a assistant of the local Earl). Wolfgang Schoberth, historian and former teacher of MGF-High-School in Kulmbach, had found together with his students the historical sources of that building: In former times in this area there settled jewish citizens of Kulmbach and on that site there was located a synagogue. Students dug there and found a former mikwe (Place for baptism); the pieces they excavated were exposed in the house.
